Inner Banks Politics - Republican Reminder

Some Republicans have chastised Obama for a number of shortcomings that George W. Bush is actually responsible for too. This does not mean Obama has not made our economy worse. Nor does it mean Obama necessarily has a different position. It is just a reminder of how badly we were damaged with a massive increase in government before Obama made it worse.

Deficits of record magnitude? Bush.
The bailout of banks? Bush.
The bailout of auto companies? Bush.
Government take-over of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Bush.
Adding a new entitlement to the tune of almost $8 trillion in unfunded government liabilities? Bush. (Medicare Part-D -- more than the entire unfunded liability of Social Security)
Ethanol subsidies? Expanded by Bush.
Outlawing light bulbs? Bush.
"Comprehensive" immigration reform? Bush.
Campaign Finance Reform? Bush signed it into law.
No Child Left Behind? Bush signed it into law.
