The most recent example is in Delaware, where despite being outspent 32 to 1, insurgent candidate Christine O'Donnell trumped nine-term GOP Congressman Michael Castle by 65 percent to 35 percent for the GOP Senate nomination.

This is truly funny. Long time and high name recognition elected official Castle spent 32 times as much money as the newcomer O'Donnell. 32 TIMES! He got whomped by a two to one margin. TWO TO ONE! It was not even close.

Yet all the 'ruling class' Republicans, including pimps like 'Tokyo Karl' Rove and 'Prince Charles" Krauthammer, just don't get it. They still think big government and entitlement handouts are the roads to political success.

Used Car Prices Soar

... blame Cash for Clunkers

A year ago, new car sales got a boost from the federal government's "Cash for Clunkers" program.

Now, with the incentive expired, the auto industry is reporting a new phenomenon: a shortage of older model used cars.

Under the 2009 program, buyers got $4,500 toward the purchase of new, more energy-efficient vehicles in exchange for their existing vehicle. The used cars were then demolished, which critics say has drastically cut the supply of decent pre-owned vehicles.

"What they did was basically take a million cars out of the market," says Patrick Rogalla, sales manager at Schoepp Motors in Middleton.

The average price for a used car in the U.S. has jumped 10.3 percent in the past year, according to auto industry analyst Edmunds.com. The average price for some used SUVs has skyrocketed 30 percent, the company reports.

Once again America is damaged by the unintended consequences of a misguided Democrat program to help the 'little people'. A million people got tax incentives to buy a new car last year, with the majority of them being high income earners. However millions of true 'little people' are now being screwed by the result. They are paying from 10 to 30 percent more for a used car than they would otherwise have paid. The number screwed by the price increases vastly exceeds the number who got the tax break. That doesn't even count all the people who paid for the tax incentives which wound up in the pockets of the wealthy by having to pay more in taxes to begin with.

The famous science fiction writer Robert Heinlein warned us of this with his "Russian" word TANSTAAFL. "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." Democrats simply will not accept this idea. As long as they can con people into making the middle class pay their taxes (under the pretense they are the rich), the poor can suck at the public trough forever. They know it. If you are a taxpayer they have only one response. "Shut up." That is the same response they give to those complaining about the higher used car prices they caused.

Milwaukee television station WTMJ reports: "Milwaukee Alderwoman Milele Coggs hit a poll worker with her car Tuesday after what is described as a heated argument over results."

This is one story that I will have to remember so the next time some arrogant self righteous Democrat calls me an extremist, I can point to the sane moderation of your typical Democrat. Just how irrational and extreme does a person have to be to slam into another with a car? And for such a trivial offense. I don't recall any Republicans doing this!

When you got up this morning, what did you think the rest of your life was going to be like?

When this man got up on 9/11/2001, what do you suppose he thought the rest of his life was going to be like?




Do you think on that day he realized the extremists of a religion from the opposite side of the world hated him so much? Do you think he realized they considered his death to be the process by which they found salvation from their Allah? Do you think he had his eyes closed so the coming impact would not be seen? As he and many others came plunging down from the raging building on that day - did you wonder what was in their minds as these Americans voluntarily took that plunge to their death to escape the inferno above?

Please look at him. You should wonder what he is thinking. Do you ever think that your death may be as unexpected and violent as his? Do you ever think about the evil that took his life? Have you considered that those fanatics are not done?

In a few short years these acts of violent death will be replaced with worse violence. The instrument will not be a jet fueled airliner on that day. It will be the nuclear bombs that we are passively allowing the maniacal rulers of these fanatics to acquire so they can multiply the horror of the attacks they plan.

On that day, when you either watch the burning inferno of our destruction on TV, or worse - experience that second of reality before you expire because it is you in the reach of that blazing heat - will you ask yourself why you sat idly by while the hate of Islam continued to grow?

A preacher down in Florida with less than a hundred followers threatened to burn some Korans. In response every Muslim in the world demands that he be put to death for daring to say he will do it. Otherwise they will riot and kill every infidel they can find.

It will not matter whether he actually ever burns these Korans or not. I'm sure they'll find another reason to strap on some bombs and kill infidels. It is what they do.

The Truth About Jobs

In response to the Clinton caused recession that he inherited, George W. Bush did a pretty good job managing the economy during the early years of his administration. As you can see from the graph above, jobs continued their 3 year upward move in 2006 right up until March of 2008, Unemployment was at historic lows, near the records set during the Coolidge years. The problem was that Bush did not really believe in small government or small business. He is first and foremost a lover of big government and big business.

As a result Bush was persuaded to give out a wasteful stimulus that sucked money from a fragile economy. The Democrat Congress elected in 2006 and 2008 was only too happy to go along. The combination of taking money out of the economy during a housing boom needing cash, aggravated an already unstable situation. Bush still tries to avoid blame for his own stupid moves, but it is hard to make that argument with a straight face. The corruption in Wall Street from poorly rated bonds secured by risky loans, the gambling in derivatives and credit default swaps that were frauds, led to a Wall Street collapse. Bush then started the bailouts and corruption. Bernanke and Paulson committed treason in the way they passed out that money to their friends.

Instead of the recovery that would have naturally occurred in late 2009, the idiocy of the Obama administration stomping on the federal spending peddle using borrowed money sabotaged the imminent recovery. He wasted money with his even larger stimulus and bailouts and continued the corruption that Bernanke and Paulson had started. We have not seen any recovery yet despite the constant lies of Obama and Biden. As is clear from the graph, we have seen a lull in the plunge downward. However whether we start to see recovery or see a second plunge down is dependent on what government does to get out of the way of the free enterprise system.

It is clear that Obama does not understand that. Otherwise we would not be facing unemployment as bad as during the depression years.

Why The GOP Wave?

Labor Day traditionally begins the mid-term election campaign season and is a good point to reflect on what will happen in some eight short weeks. That there will be a Republican landslide across this country and our state is not in doubt. What will surprise many people is the sheer magnitude of this event.

I can recall using the term "GOP tsunami" to discuss this wave back in February in an attempt to alert our candidates, supporters and neighbors to the unique opportunity this year presents. Salisbury, Lexington, Greensboro, Wilson, Goldsboro, Durham, Washington, Greenville and countless other venues at GOP meetings and Tea Party events I shared the hows and whys of this historic development. Many of our candidates took heed and in Napoleonic parlance, "stole a march" on their lumbering Democratic opponents.

Now the stretch run begins for the final sprint to the wire and it appears North Carolina Republicans will gain 15 seats in the State House, seven in the State Senate and pick up two congressional seats. If the wave begins to expand exponentially, these gains will increase another 50 percent.

Why is this going to happen? How can we sit here eight weeks out and so clearly see the future?

Because our country and our state are in the throes of a global economic collapse that accelerates each week. The Democratic controlled congress and state legislature have failed to recognize the deflationary nature of this event and enable further deterioration by clinging to their Keynesian mentality of the past. This crisis cannot be solved with more stimulus, more spending and more debt. The Democratic party is lining up our children and grandchildren in front of an economic firing squad that will destroy their futures and create an economic wasteland for decades to come.

There are no central bank tools to stop a deflationary cycle once it begins. So-called quantitative easing merely keeps zombie banks on life support as they borrow artificial "money" (created on a computer screen and transferred to accounts electronically) from the government at close to zero percent interest so the banks may buy government bonds yielding 2-3 percent. These monies are not used to make loans to small business or to create new jobs but instead are used as an accounting sleight of hand to prop up stock prices and ensure bonuses are paid to top executives.

The banks are insolvent because their liabilities exceed their assets. In an honest system they would be liquidated at market value, debt would be expunged and the economic cycle would begin anew. The Democratic congress keeps the banks propped up with stimulus spending and bailout programs that ensure debt will increase and strangle future generations. In the process they will destroy the currency -- the current bubble in Treasuries will end badly -- and the economic nightmare will grow.

Meanwhile the people starve as unemployment is through the roof and more than 40 million Americans need food stamps to survive. If the currency is destroyed the food stamps won't be good anymore and people will be in the streets. The situation is that dire, and the American people are not stupid -- they know the Democrats in Washington and Raleigh are executing the middle class.

These Democratic economic policies are nothing more than official cover for a massive looting of the country as the wealth is being sucked out of the nation before a final collapse occurs. Every day there is a new congressional scandal as another Democratic congressman is investigated for putting taxpayer monies in his pocket. The smarter ones just help enable the wealth transfer by ensuring the new money created never reaches the people and, "by the way, will you be attending Congressman so and so's fundraiser in Georgetown tomorrow night?"

The people are not stupid, they are not fools. That is why they are coming to the polls to vote out every Democratic incumbent they can find on the ballot. That is why they are making phone calls, canvassing and organizing rallies to take back our nation. Their failure to act will ensure the final crash and they know it.

A deflationary economic collapse is not a pretty sight. No one living today has witnessed what happens when the "modern" economy stops working and wages, prices, real estate and retirement savings fall in value relative to the currency -- and nobody has any money. Except, of course, for the looters, who are sitting pretty and can buy up the entire country for pennies on the dollar.

The Democrats have gambled on the ignorance of the American people and are about to lose big time.

I think Greg is right about November. The real question is whether the Republican Party understands what is happening and is prepared to deal with the serious problems we face. If they choose to "reach out to the other side" and craft "bipartisan agreements", we will never change the course of the looming disaster. We are in a war against both a global socialist movement dedicated to the destruction of American free enterprise and a global Islamic extremism that demands our culture be eradicated.

I don't believe a lot of Republicans understand that even now. They are not literate about the problems with Keynesian economics. They do not have a clue about the difference between Wall Street and free enterprse. They are ignorant of the forces behind progressive ideology. They want to be loved by our enemies. They think Islam is a religion of peace.

Greg is right about the first phase of the coming disaster. It will be a continuation of the deflation that is currently so damaging our nation. The next phase will be hyper-inflation that will be even worse. It will be joined by nuclear threats from proliferation in the middle east.

Republicans must win in November. Then Republicans have to stop fiddling while America burns.

Other parents are forcing their kids to walk to the rally on their own as the parents look for the center of violence. See the raving lunatics assisting those in wheel chairs to get to the site of the riot. Note all the old geezers insidiously dressed up as teen agers to deceive people into believing this is not a bunch of retired racists. Note the inter-racial couple fearfully walking to their imminent deaths. Oh the horror. Oh the humanity.

In June 2007 then Presidential Candidate Barack Obama declared the USA "... no longer a Christian nation."

This year President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day of Prayer ceremony at the White House giving as a reason "not wanting to offend anyone. " He did not pray with any Christians.

BUT... on September 25, 2009 a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim Religion was held on Capitol Hill. There were over 50,000 Muslims in D.C. that day. Barack Obama chose to pray with them, publicly.

I guess it Doesn't matter if "Christians" are offended by this event. Obama clearly does not care if they are.

The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian, especially knowing that the Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated. Does that belief matter to Obama?


I have a couple of questions. Why is it that everyone seems surprised 50% of Americans do not believe Obama is a Christian and 20% believe he is a Muslim? Can his actions honestly be portrayed as supporting the premise he is a Christian? He says he is a Christian... but he says a lot of other things that are false.
