ONLY the US Supreme Court
Has Constitutional Authority
To Conduct The Trial

by Publius Huldah - July 29th, 2010 - Canada Free Press

Does anyone read the U.S. Constitution these days? American lawyers don’t read it. Federal Judge Susan R. Bolton apparently has never read it. Same goes for our illustrious Attorney General Eric Holder. But this lawyer has read it and she is going to show you something in Our Constitution which is as plain as the nose on your face.

Article III, Sec. 2, clause 2 says:

"In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction."

If our Constitutuion means anything this case MUST be re-tried in the Supreme Court. NOT appealed to the Supreme Court. Re-tried in its entirety. If it is not, the Constitution ceases to exist. The hyper-partisan extremist, Judge Susan Bolton had no legal authority to try the case. Therefore her incredible ruling that illegal invaders have a 'right' to seek work here even though they do not have a 'right' to be here should be dismissed.

This ruling by Judge Bolton shows utter contempt not just for our Constitution but for our citizens and the rule of law as well. Of course you have to ask how competent is our Attorney General when he filed the case in the wrong court?

The problem is that no public official has the guts to ignore a federal judge. Political corruption permeates our courts. That truth is well known. It is true because of the gutless bowing by all public officials to the demi-god status federal judges have attained.

The State of Arizona should declare the ruling illegal and go ahead with enforcing their law. They will not do so because no one in politics, especially elected Republicans, have an ounce of courage or conviction. Corrupt judges like Susan Bolton have the power to do anything they want.

For her violation Judge Bolton should be impeached.

Our Federal Republic Was Destroyed Yesterday

by Dean Stephens - July 29th, 2010

Judge Susan Bolton has proven to be a typical hyper-partisan left wing progressive extremist. She proved this with her ruling yesterday ending the right of the States to defend themselves from a foreign invasion. Contrary to what you hear on the news, the right of defense is guaranteed to the states in the Constitution. It is not as you hear repeatedly stated an exclusive right of the Federal government. No one who has actually studied law and is not practicing political manipulation of the law could have ruled as she ruled if they believed in our Constitution.

Judge Bolton and the anti-American mob that supported her ruling,
waving their Mexican and Che Guevara flags

Few people bother to read the Constitution in modern America. It is our social contract, providing the basis of government between the people as well as the basis of the rule of law. This is true despite the opinion of liberals (or progressives or whatever they call themselves today) who have declared it dead for many years. Judge Bolton has long identified herself as one of these progressives so it is really no surprise how she ruled. If the extremist view of Judge Bolton is not overruled on appeal, that 'progressive' destruction of our social contract will finally be true. Or at least until there is another revolution to restore liberty. That possibility creates fear among those who love this nation. Revolutions are not pretty.

Our founders, fearing a bigoted President would for personal reasons fail to defend some states as required by the Constitution, included a provision in the Constitution that guaranteed the States the right to defend themselves from foreign invasion if the federal government failed to do so. It is Article I, Section 10, Clause 3. It says "No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."

This was clear language that the Federal primacy in foreign affairs ended if the federal government failed to defend any state as the Constitution demanded of it. Clearly the Obama administration has failed to enforce the Constitution and protect the states from invasion. Just because it is not the first administration to fail in this regard does not end the right. Note the Constitution only requires that states adhere to federal law as enacted by Congress, NOT to any act of the executive branch. Judge Bolton has invented an obligation of the states to subordinate its actions to the executive branch, even if the executive branch violates the federal laws as it currently is doing. No such obligation exists under the Constitution.

The federal government has posted numerous signs within the state of Arizona proclaiming that the state has been invaded, and that the federal government will not protect the citizens in those areas that have been taken over. The federal signs warn citizens to stay out of the areas and has conceded control of these areas to the foreign invaders. No clearer evidence is needed that the federal government has violated its Constitutional obligation to protect the states from invasion.

What part of "imminent Danger" do these progressive Democrats and their foreign-dominated illegal-invader support groups not understand? Repeatedly they go on TV and brag about the Constitutional rights of the invaders while insisting that the provisions in the Constitution to defend against the invaders are null and void. If you doubt the drug dealers, coyotes and cartels are illegal invaders, check out the video of those who protested the Arizona law, even the watered down version of the law allowed by the radical Judge. As the video shows (here) protestors waved the Mexican Flag and a huge flag of Che Guevara, the radical communist who hated our nation and promoted death to Americans his whole life. How can Judge Bolton grant these enemies Constitutional rights?

Our President, Attorney General and at least one left wing extremist Judge, deny the right of the states to defend themselves against invasion in contempt of the Constitution. They simply ignore the "imminent Danger" clause and apparently side with Che Guevara supporting anti-American extremists. Judge Bolton actually had the arrogance to claim in her ruling these invaders have a 'legal right' to seek work in our nation, a right she insisted cannot be stopped by the states. How can they have a legal right to seek work here if they do not have a legal right to be here?

We are still the richest nation on earth due to our preference for the freedom that comes with free enterprise. If this ridiculous proclamation stands our borders will be swamped by new waves of illegal foreigners coming here and many of them will be soldiers in the drug cartels. Judge Bolton’s ruling says; Illegal invaders have a right to seek work, they have a right to take the jobs that only citizens and legal residents should be eligible for - so your job is at risk if this ruling stands. She has tried to make that ruling the indisputable rule of law for partisan political gain as a Democrat, not as an American.

This must not stand. It is overwhelmingly opposed by our citizens. For many, our federal republic was destroyed yesterday. The ruling is an affront to a large majority who love America. On issue after issue the current administration is creating division - not unity. This must end before it tears us apart.

Irena Sendler

A name you should not forget. Why? Here is the story.

In 2008 a 98 year-old lady named Irena Sendler (also known as Sendlerowa, surname of her first husband in her native country of Poland) died. She was a Catholic woman whose story was unknown until publicized in 1999 by some kids in rural Kansas who were looking for an example of the moto, “He who changes one person, changes the entire world”. They created a play named "Life in a jar" about Irena.

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior motive'... she knew what the Nazi's plans were because she was a member of an underground group who had uncovered their plans for extermination of the Jews. In response Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried to work each day. She carried a burlap sack in the back of her truck for larger kids.

Becoming head of the children's division of the underground group Zegota, Irena managed to save over 2500 kids and infants from the Warsaw Ghetto.

She was caught, and the Nazi's broke her leg, her foot, both her arms and beat her severely during torture by the Gestapo in the notorious Pawiak Prison.

Irena kept a record of the names of the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and reunite the family. Unfortunately most had been gassed at Treblinka.

The kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted. A few of them kept in touch with her the rest of their lives.

In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected.

Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.

We have not learned anything.

The Bush-Obama National Bankruptcy Plan

Thanks to the Washington Post, we now can visually dramatize the deficit disaster that Bush and Obama have created for our nation. They put this out last year but it still stands as the best summation of the disaster we face.

Bush cut tax rates, which for a time drove a financial recovery after 9/11 that kept tax receipts high. Bush unfortunately colluded with Dennis Hastert to spend money, much of it pork, as if there was no tomorrow. In 7 years he never vetoed a single spending bill. This is neither Republican nor based on conservative principles. It is insanity.

It is contemptible that Obama, who rightly decried the spendthrift ways of Bush during the campaign, turned out to be a worse liar than Bush. He claimed he would adopt fiscal sanity and control spending. Instead, he has quadrupled the spending that Bush failed to control. Quadrupled. Most of this spending is stupid pork riddled payoffs to Democrat insiders. The most obvious condemnation of Obama is that the LOWEST deficit projected for Obama will exceed the HIGHEST deficit Bush actually caused. Conservatives and libertarians who condemned Bush are having a field day with the hypocrisy of Democrats who criticized Bush and promptly ignored their promises as soon as they were in power.

That is the reason our nation stands on the precipice of fiscal disaster. Two Presidents who were ignorant of how our national wealth is created and retained. Obama is worse than Bush but the problem is something both caused. Where do we turn to find someone who will defend our nation from the looming bankruptcy?

Americans Stand Up Against Radical Islam
– Stop the Mosque at Ground Zero!

by El Marco - July 16th, 2010 - Looking at the left

Not one major network sent a satellite truck or camera crew to this event. Without Bloggers this newsworthy event would have remained unknown to the public and history.

On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance rallied at the site of the World Trade Center in New York City.

Check out this article, here, posted from an email which I also received, on an incredible event that happened in New York City. I googled to see if it came from a blog somewhere and the only posting I found was this one which did what I thought about doing, simply reproducing the email in its entirety. Please click through and look at the article. The pictures are awesome. The crowd was huge.

If anyone knows who the original author was, please let me know so I can give them credit. Especially let me know of they ever post it on a web site so I can link directly to their version. Thanks.

Update - Original author of the email was El Marco on his blog "Looking at the left". I fixed the link on the title to go to the author's blog and you can also reach it here. Thanks to blogger "rightforall" for the updated information.

Top Ten Golden LEAF Wasteful Projects

by Brian Balfour - July 16th, 2010 - North Carlina Civitas

Over the years, Golden LEAF has funded a variety of wasteful projects. With North Carolina facing at least a $3 billion structural budget deficit next year, observers must ask: Do these projects represent the best use of this pot of state money?

The top ten wasteful Golden LEAF projects include:

1.This Ain’t Dollywood
In 2006, Golden LEAF granted $399,000 to the City of Roanoke Rapids to assist in “infrastructure improvements” in order to support the Carolina Crossroads Music & Entertainment District – home of the ill-fated Randy Parton Theatre. In its short history, the Theatre has been plagued by lawsuits, ownership changes, and financial losses that have left taxpayers holding the bag.

2.The Real Inspiration for the “Tea Party” Movement?
Golden LEAF decided it a wise investment to grant $380,000 in 2005 to “help fund the pre-development activities for the Sparta Museum.” Yes, the now-infamous Sparta Teapot Museum that garnered national ridicule as an example of government waste was also deemed worthy of Golden LEAF funding. Golden LEAF justified the grant with the laughable claim that a Museum housing “more than 10,000 antique, artist-made and production teapots” will be “a catalyst for revitalization” for the town. The museum was never built.

[Snip]

DISHONORABLE MENTION
In 2008, Golden LEAF granted a whopping $100 million to the NC Global Transpark Authority in Kinston. The $100 million was dedicated to building a 500,000 square foot plant for Spirit AeroSystems in which Spirit builds aircraft parts for major airlines like Boeing and Airbus. Landing Spirit was supposed to trigger other aerospace companies to locate to the Global Transpark. Since Spirit signed the deal to come to the Transpark, however, no additional tenants have signed on. Moreover, Spirit is leasing their warehouse from the state government at $100 a year, while the Transpark struggles to pay back $38 million in loans to the state.

$100 million wasted. $100 million. The local government is on the hook for $38 million of that. Think of what that money could have accomplished if spent wisely.

In future years it is going to be hard to determine who wasted more money. The Golden Leaf Foundation or the Obama regime. As incompetent as Golden Leaf is proving, my money is still on Obama.

Grimes And Woolard Unite
To defeat Butterfield

Ashley Woolard, the nominee for the 1st District, is proud to accept the endorsement of Jerry Grimes, the interim Pastor of Peter's Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Wallace, North Carolina and Woolard's former primary opponent.

Woolard made his political reputation as chairman of the Beaufort County GOP by healing divisons in that party organization. With this endorsement, the Woolard campaign presents a unified party for the general election. Grimes has joined the Woolard campaign team and is crisscrossing the district on its behalf.

“At a time in which unemployment continues to devastate Eastern North Carolina amidst the absenteeism of congressional leadership poised and prepared to address these challenges, Ashley Woolard will provide that much needed leadership as the next U.S. Representative from North Carolina's 1st Congressional District. His embodiment of the traditional values that made the United States a world-power, his entrepreneurial spirit and longstanding service to a large number of communities throughout Eastern North Carolina, not only make Ashley a viable candidate in the 1st District but will provide to the 700,000 residents of the 1st District a representative who understands the needs and concerns of working families, small business owners, veterans, students and young people. Having had the opportunity to speak at length with Ashley and discuss his goals and sincere desire to serve as a citizen-legislator for the good people of Eastern North Carolina, I am both honored and elated to offer my time and talents in ways beneficial to his efforts," said Grimes in a statement for the media.

"I am proud and pleased to accept Jerry's endorsement and I am looking forward to working together to get our country back on the right track. Jerry Grimes has a bright future in the GOP and as North Carolina leader", concluded Woolard.

Bertie Superintendent Suspended

by Thadd White - July 17th, 2010 - Roanoke Chowan News Herald

The Bertie County Board of Education has suspended Superintendent of Schools Dr. Chip Zullinger.

In correspondence Friday afternoon, Dr. Zullinger was informed by School Board Attorney Rod Malone that the school board had voted to suspend him with pay.

“I am writing to inform you that the Board of Education has voted to suspend you with pay, effective immediately, pursuant to N.C. State Board Policy TCP-D-000 and Section 15 of your employment contract dated August 30, 2007,” Malone’s letter said.

The board met Thursday evening in closed session on personnel matters, but did not vote upon exiting closed session.

The letter from Malone also prohibited the superintendent from returning to work at any school facility without the approval of the board of education or to remotely access the school’s computer system.

Malone’s letter also indicated this was the first step in removing Dr. Zullinger from his position.

I cannot understand why these 4 board members want to remove Chip Zullinger. He cares about the children of Bertie County. He wants to get them access to the Internet so they can get ahead in life. In the process our entire community will gain access in areas of our county that would otherwise never see Internet access. Wow. How intolerable. We can't actually spend any money to do that. Bertie County has to get it free or they will do without.

So get ready to do without.

Inner Banks Philosophy

I am not a Peggy Noonan fan, however I acknowledge she can be incredibly insightful. In her latest article she nailed Barack Obama. Obama "came across as a detached academic who believed in abstract notions he'd picked up in the faculty lounge."

His lack of real understanding of the issues Americans face is apparent. I myself have called him "amateur". In his own autobiograhy, Obama declares he is most comfortable with Marxists, socialists, radicals and extremists, not everyday Americans.

I immediately accepted Noonan's description when I read it. It embraces the truth that Obama dabbles in socialism, dabbles in Marxism, dabbles in subjects in which he is unqualified; yet as a faculty lounge debater he cannot see his own shortcomings. It is all abstract to Obama. He thinks he is an expert because he debates with other academics.

Pretty good insight Peggy.

Bertie County School Board
Blocks "Connect Bertie"

In an amazing change in direction, the majority of the Bertie County School Board has decided to reverse the contract that their Superintendent negotiated under the Board dictated terms when the project was approved. This embarrassed the Governor who showed up for the announcement of "Connect Bertie" in good faith, only to find that this board majority had changed their mind at the last minute. This is the epitome of amateurish conduct.

The School Board has given out a Press Release to defend their actions which is reproduced below with responses from the Building Bridges Committee that has worked so hard with the Superintedent and the Board to bring this great project to Bertie County.

BERTIE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION PRESS RELEASE
& A RESPONSE FROM BUILDING BRIDGES (In Red)

Building Bridges is a group of business people who have assisted the Superintendent in the Connect Bertie Project since day one through today. The Board of Education statement is in black and our responses to their press release are in red. Building Bridges business people are David Peele, John Davis, and Ron Wesson.

The members of the Bertie County Board of Education have been asked various questions in recent days regarding the Board’s position on the Connect Bertie project. The Board would like to make it clear that it is still willing to discuss the terms and conditions of a contract with CenturyLink that would allow Internet service to be provided to families of students in Bertie County. However, the large majority of the terms of the contract currently proposed by CenturyLink are unacceptable to the Board. CentruyLink’s proposed contract is not fiscally prudent and would significantly reduce the very limited funds available for the education of students in Bertie County. Some of the Board’s concerns with CenturyLink’s proposed agreement follow:

At the Board of Education’s February 2010 meeting retreat, the Board "approved the Connect Bertie project". As a result, their executive (School Superintendent) negotiated the contract in agreement with the terms discussed and agreed to in that February meeting. The question of whether the Bertie BOE gave their executive approval to execute Connect Bertie is not one we can answer. However, the matter of whether the existing contract is fiscally prudent is a matter of opinion. At the time the contract was signed, the potential returns of the project must have been deemed acceptable, given the Board's approval and the executive's approval to go forward at the February meeting. We take issue with the statement that this project reduces funds available for education. It most certainly redirects existing funds to what we feel are better returns for our students. What the Board meant when they said they approved Connect Bertie in February will most likely be debated for years. Regardless, it is our opinion it will cost the county more to NOT do the contract now and we have a very high risk of losing all the benefits.

1. The proposed agreement would obligate the Board to spend in excess of $2,250,000 over the next five years;

The program as proposed would be paid from Stimulus Funds and from Title One Federal Funds which will be spent in some fashion or another over the next five years. Bertie’s Title One Funds alone grew from $1 million to $1.6 million (60%) from 2005 to 2009 and have grown consistently overall since the program started in the 1960s. The $20 monthly service fee will total $337,680 and would represent 21% of the $1.6 million in annual Title One Funds. The programs and use of Title One Funds have changed over the years and all the research tells us that the Internet is the greatest learning equalizer for rural kids. This is just a better use of funds we already have. There will be no tax increase to Bertie citizen’s as a result of this program. By the way we will spend over $150 million dollars on education in the next five years so this project is 1.5% of that.

2. The proposed agreement would require the Board to pay for Internet service for 1407 families even if only a small fraction of the families are actually provided service;

It is true that the school system will pay for 1407 users regardless of the number that actually sign up. Research in the county with the prospective customer base shows there is a very low risk that any families would not use the service. The upside is that high speed Internet availability will more than double in the county and people who can afford to buy the service but have none available now will be able to receive service. This makes our county more attractive to businesses and people who want to move here. Paying for 1407 families is an acceptable risk in our opinion. Century Link is making a large investment and this project works because our invested funds help reduce the cost of expansion and provides private market potential for Century Link. Century Link and the school administration have carefully plotted the location of qualifying student households to ensure that the placement of new equipment will reach the majority of these families.

3. The proposed agreement would require the Board to pay the monthly charges for any upgraded services requested by the families with the Board tasked with having to collect the money for the upgraded services from the families each month;

This risk can be removed by saying there will be no upgrades through this program.

4. The proposed agreement could not be terminated if the Board was not appropriated funds to pay the monthly charges;

Over time Title One Funds have only increased. They increased 60% from 2005 to 2009. No companies we know of get off the hook on a contract they sign if their sales go down in a given year. They have to cut other expenses to meet their contractual obligations.

5. The proposed agreement would require the Board to recover the modem from any family that stops accepting Internet service and return the modem to CenturyLink at the Board’s expense; and

Modems for the 1407 homes are provided free. Anyone who gets a free modem when they sign up individually for home Internet has this requirement. This is not unreasonable.

6. The proposed agreement would require the Board to pay CenturyLink the retail cost for any modem used by a family that the Board does not return to CenturyLink.

Modems for the 1407 homes are provided free. Anyone who gets a free modem when they sign up individually for home Internet has this requirement. This is not unreasonable.

This Press Release implies that the Bertie County School Board thinks Bertie County parents care so little for their children's future that they will NOT TAKE A FREE SERVICE THAT PREPARES THEM FOR MODERN LIFE.

Is this seriously the opinion of these board members about the parents in our county?

This is not about "Connect Bertie". This is about petty politics. In the process it insults our parents, our children and our business community.

Acknowledgement - I was an early member of the Building Bridges Committee and though I left over a year ago as they moved on to take on other projects and goals, I have remained a strong supporter of "Connect Bertie" and wholeheartedly approve of what this group has done to bring Internet services to our children. The work they have done with Dr. Zullingher is magnificent.

Email About Sarah Palin

There is an interesting email going around, pulled from a comment on a Greta Van Susteran article. The commment was posted by an Alaska fisherman who was criticizing both Democrat and Republican attitudes about Sarah.

by Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant.

Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.

I think these comments provide an interesting perspective on why professional politicians in both parties hate Sarah Palin.
